For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

1For the law having a shadow of the good things that are coming, not the same substance of the events, with the same sacrifices that are offered continually each year, they are never able to fully perfect those who are approaching.

3But in them is a reminder of sins each year.
