他們就拿住 耶利米，下在 哈米勒的兒子 瑪基雅的牢獄裏；那牢獄在護衛兵的院中。他們用繩子將 耶利米繫下去。牢獄裏沒有水，只有淤泥， 耶利米就陷在淤泥中。

Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
