Esther 5:2

He looked up and saw Queen Esther standing there and he was really happy to see her. He held out his golden stick as a sign that she could come closer to him. Esther saw him do that and so she walked into the king's room and touched the end of the stick.

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

In Context

1The Jewish people did what Esther said and they all stopped eating for 3 days. On the 3rd day, Esther put on her queen's clothes and went to the king's palace. She walked into the king's waiting room. Zerk-sees was sitting on the king's chair and he could see into the waiting room.

3The king said to her, “Queen Esther, what do you want to ask me? I will give you whatever you want, even if you ask for one half of everything in my country!”
