I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves the preeminence over them, does not receive us.

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

10On account of this, if I come, I will call to mind his works which he does, slandering us with evil words. And not being content with that, he does not receive the brothers, and hinders those who desire to, casting them out of the church.
