And it came to pass, when David dwelt in his house, that David said unto Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in a house of cedar, while the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under curtains.

God's gracious acceptance of David's purpose to build him a house, and the promise he made thereupon, ver. 1-15 . II.
