Hear you⌃ this word of the Lord, even a lamentation, which I take up against you. The house of Israel is fallen; it shall no more rise.

The scope of this chapter is to prosecute the exhortation given to Israel in the close of the foregoing chapter to prepare to meet their God; the prophet here tells them, I.
