Psalms 104
Alleluia. 1 Give thanks to the Lord, and call upon his name; 1 Declare his works among the heathen. 1
Sing to him, yea, sing praises to him: 1 Tell forth all his wonderful works. 1
Glory in his holy name: 1 Let the heart of them that seek the Lord rejoice. 1
Seek ye the Lord, and be strengthened; 1 Seek his face continually. 1
Remember his wonderful works that he has done; 1 His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 1
Ye seed of Abraham, his servants, 1 Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. 1
He is the Lord our God; 1 His judgments are in all the earth. 1
He has remembered his covenant forever, 1 The word which he commanded for a thousand generations: 1
Which he established as a covenant to Abraham, 1 And he remembered his oath to Isaac. 1
And he established it to Jacob for an ordinance, 1 And to Israel for an everlasting covenant; 1
Saying, To thee will I give the land of Canaan, 1 The line of your inheritance: 1
When they were few in number, 1 Very few, and sojourners in it. 1
And they went from nation to nation, 1 And from one kingdom to another people. 1
He suffered no man to wrong them; 1 And he rebuked kings for their sakes: 1
Saying, Touch not my anointed ones; 1 And do my prophets no harm. 1
Moreover he called for a famine upon the land; 1 He broke the whole support of bread. 1
He sent a man before them; 1 Joseph was sold for a slave. 1
They hurt his feet with fetters; 1 His soul passed into iron, 1
Until the time that his cause came on; 1 The word of the Lord tried him as fire. 1
The king sent and loosed him; 1 Even the prince of the people, and let him go free. 1
He made him Lord over his house, 1 And ruler of all his substance; 1
To chastise his rulers at his pleasure, 1 And to teach his elders wisdom. 1
Israel also came into Egypt, 1 And Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. 1
And he increased his people greatly, 1 And made them stronger than their enemies. 1
And he turned their heart to hate his people, 1 To deal craftily with his servants. 1
He sent forth Moses his servant, 1 And Aaron whom he had chosen. 1
He established among them his signs, 1 And his wonders in the land of Ham. 1
He sent forth darkness, and made it dark; 1 Yet they rebelled against his words. 1
He turned their waters into blood, 1 And slew their fish. 1
Their land produced frogs abundantly, 1 In the chambers of their kings. 1
He spoke, and the dog fly came, 1 And lice in all their coasts. 1
He turned their rain into hail, 1 And sent flaming fire in their land. 1
And he smote their vines and their fig trees; 1 And broke every tree of their coast. 1
He spoke, and the locust came, 1 And caterpillars innumerable, 1
And devoured all the grass in their land, 1 And devoured the fruit of their ground. 1
He smote also every firstborn of their land, 1 The firstfruits of all their labor. 1
And he brought them out with silver and gold; 1 And there was not a feeble one among their tribes. 1
Egypt rejoiced at their departing; 1 For the fear of them fell upon them. 1
He spread out a cloud for a covering to them, 1 And fire to give them light by night. 1
They asked, and the quail came, 1 And he satisfied them with the bread of heaven. 1
He clove the rock, and the waters flowed; 1 Rivers ran in dry places. 1
For he remembered his holy word, 1 Which he promised to Abraham his servant. 1
And he brought out his people with exultation, 1 And his chosen with joy; 1
And gave them the lands of the heathen; 1 And they inherited the labors of the people; 1
That they might keep his ordinances, 1 And diligently seek his law.
