Psalms 11
For the end, a Psalm of David, upon the eighth. 1
Save me, O Lord; for the godly man has failed; 1 For truth is diminished from among the children of men. 1
Every one has spoken vanity to his neighbor: 1 Their lips are deceitful, they have spoken with a double heart. 1
Let the Lord destroy all the deceitful lips, 1 And the tongue that speaks great words: 1
Who have said, We will magnify our tongue; 1 Our lips are our own: who is Lord of us? 1
Because of the misery of the poor, 1 And because of the sighing of the needy, 1 Now will I arise, saith the Lord, 1 I will set them in safety; I will speak to them thereof openly. 1
The oracles of the Lord are pure oracles; 1 As silver tried in the fire, proved in a furnace of earth, 1 Purified seven times. 1
Thou, O Lord, shalt keep us, 1 And shalt preserve us, from this generation, and forever. 1
The ungodly walk around: 1 According to thy greatness thou hast greatly exalted the sons of men.
