Psalms 126

1A Song of Degrees. 1 Except the Lord build the house, 1 They that build labor in vain: 1 Except the Lord keep the city, 1 The watchman watches in vain. 1

2It is vain for you to rise early: 1 Ye rise up after resting, 1 Ye that eat the bread of grief; 1 While he gives sleep to his beloved. 1

3Behold, the inheritance of the Lord, children, 1 The reward of the fruit of the womb. 1

4As arrows in the hand of a mighty man; 1 So are the children of those who were outcasts. 1

5Blessed is the man who shall satisfy his desire with them: 1 They shall not be ashamed when they shall speak to their enemies in the gates.
