Psalms 149
1Alleluia. 1 Sing to the Lord a new song: 1 His praise is in the assembly of the saints. 1
2Let Israel rejoice in him that made him; 1 And let the children of Zion exult in their king. 1
3Let them praise his name in the dance: 1 Let them sing praises to him with timbrel and psaltery. 1
4For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; 1 And will exalt the meek with salvation. 1
5The saints shall rejoice in glory; 1 And shall exult on their beds. 1
6The high praises of God shall be in their throat, 1 And two-edged swords in their hands; 1
7To execute vengeance on the nations, 1 And punishments among the peoples; 1
8To bind their kings with fetters, 1 And their nobles with manacles of iron; 1
9To execute on them the judgment written: 1 This honor have all his saints.
