Psalms 24
A Psalm of David. 1 To thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul. 1
O my God, I have trusted in thee: let me not be confounded, 1 Neither let mine enemies laugh me to scorn. 1
For none of them that wait on thee shall in anywise be ashamed: 1 Let them be ashamed that transgress without cause. 1
Show me thy ways, O Lord; 1 And teach me thy paths. 1
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: 1 For thou art God my Savior: 1 And I have waited on thee all the day. 1
Remember thy compassions, O Lord, 1 And thy mercies, for they are from everlasting. 1
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my sins of ignorance: 1 Remember me according to thy mercy, 1 For thy goodness’ sake, O Lord. 1
Good and upright is the Lord: 1 Therefore will he instruct sinners in the way. 1
The meek will he guide in judgment: 1 The meek will he teach his ways. 1
All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth 1 To them that seek his covenant and his testimonies. 1
For thy name’s sake, O Lord, 1 Do thou also be merciful to my sin; for it is great. 1
Who is the man that fears the Lord? 1 He shall instruct him in the way which he has chosen. 1
His soul shall dwell in prosperity; 1 And his seed shall inherit the earth. 1
The Lord is the strength of them that fear him; 1 And his covenant is to manifest truth to them. 1
Mine eyes are continually to the Lord; 1 For he shall draw my feet out of the snare. 1
Look upon me, and have mercy upon me; 1 For I am an only child and poor. 1
The afflictions of my heart have been multiplied; 1 Deliver me from my distresses. 1
Look upon mine affliction and my trouble; 1 And forgive all my sins. 1
Look upon mine enemies; for they have been multiplied; 1 And they have hated me with unjust hatred. 1
Keep my soul, and deliver me: 1 Let me not be ashamed; for I have hoped in thee. 1
The harmless and upright joined themselves to me: 1 For I waited for thee, O Lord. 1
Deliver Israel, O God, 1 Out of all his afflictions.
