Psalms 35
For the end, by David the servant of the Lord. 1
The transgressor, that he may sin, says within himself, 1 That there is no fear of God before his eyes. 1
For he has dealt craftily before him, 1 To discover his iniquity and hate it. 1
The words of his mouth are transgression and deceit: 1 He is not inclined to understand how to do good. 1
He devises iniquity on his bed; 1 He gives himself to every evil way; 1 And does not abhor evil. 1
O Lord, thy mercy is in the heaven; 1 And thy truth reaches to the clouds. 1
Thy righteousness is as the mountains of God, 1 Thy judgments are as a great deep: 1 O Lord, thou wilt preserve men and beasts. 1
How hast thou multiplied thy mercy, O God! 1 So the children of men shall trust in the shelter of thy wings. 1
They shall be fully satisfied with the fatness of thy house; 1 And thou shalt cause them to drink of the full stream of thy delights. 1
For with thee is the fountain of life: 1 In thy light we shall see light. 1
Extend thy mercy to them that know thee; 1 And thy righteousness to the upright in heart. 1
Let not the foot of pride come against me, 1 And let not the hand of sinners move me. 1
There have all the workers of iniquity fallen: 1 They are cast out, and shall not be able to stand.
