Psalms 5
For the end, a Psalm of David, concerning her that inherits. 1
Hearken to my words, O Lord, 1 Attend to my cry. 1
Attend to the voice of my supplication, 1 My King, and my God: 1 For to thee, O Lord, will I pray. 1
In the morning thou shalt hear my voice: 1 In the morning will I wait upon thee, and will look up. 1
For thou art not a God that desires iniquity; 1 Neither shall the worker of wickedness dwell with thee. 1
Neither shall the transgressors continue in thy sight: 1 Thou hatest, O Lord, all them that work iniquity. 1
Thou wilt destroy all that speak falsehood: 1 The Lord abhors the bloody and deceitful man. 1
But I will enter into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: 1 I will worship in thy fear toward thy holy temple. 1
Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; 1 Make my way plain before thy face. 1
For there is no truth in their mouth; 1 Their heart is vain; 1 Their throat is an open sepulcher; 1 With their tongues they have used deceit. 1
Judge them, O God; 1 Let them fail of their counsels: 1 Cast them out according to the abundance of their ungodliness; 1 For they have provoked thee, O Lord. 1
But let all that trust on thee be glad in thee: 1 They shall exult forever, and thou shalt dwell among them; 1 And all that love thy name shall rejoice in thee. 1
For thou, Lord, shalt bless the righteous: 1 Thou hast compassed us as with a shield of favor.
