2O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath, 1 Neither chasten me in thine anger. 1
3Pity me, O Lord; for I am weak: 1 Heal me, O Lord; for my bones are vexed. 1
4My soul also is grievously vexed: 1 But thou, O Lord, how long? 1
5Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: 1 Save me for thy mercy’s sake. 1
6For in death no man remembers thee: 1 And who will give thee thanks in Hades? 1
7I am wearied with my groaning; 1 I shall wash my bed every night; 1 I shall water my couch with my tears. 1
8Mine eye is troubled because of my wrath; 1 I am worn out because of all my enemies. 1
9Depart from me, all ye that work iniquity; 1 For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. 1
10The Lord has hearkened to my petition; 1 The Lord has accepted my prayer. 1
11Let all mine enemies be put to shame and sore troubled: 1 Let them be turned back and grievously put to shame speedily.
