Psalms 62
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Edom. 1
O God, my God, I cry to thee early; 1 My soul has thirsted for thee: 1 How often has my flesh longed after thee, 1 In a barren and trackless and dry land! 1
Thus have I appeared before thee in the sanctuary, 1 That I might see thy power and thy glory. 1
For thy mercy is better than life: 1 My lips shall praise thee. 1
Thus will I bless thee during my life: 1 I will lift up my hands in thy name. 1
Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; 1 And my joyful lips shall praise thy name. 1
Forasmuch as I have remembered thee on my bed: 1 In the early seasons I have meditated on thee. 1
For thou hast been my helper, 1 And in the shelter of thy wings will I rejoice. 1
My soul has kept very close behind thee: 1 Thy right hand has upheld me. 1
But they vainly sought after my soul; 1 They shall go into the lowest parts of the earth. 1
They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; 1 They shall be portions for foxes. 1
But the king shall rejoice in God; 1 Everyone that swears by him shall be praised; 1 For the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
