Psalms 63
For the end, a Psalm of David. 1
Hear my prayer, O God, when I make my petition to thee; 1 Deliver my soul from fear of the enemy. 1
Thou hast sheltered me from the conspiracy of them that do wickedly; 1 From the multitude of them that work iniquity; 1
Who have sharpened their tongues as a sword; 1 They have bent their bow maliciously; 1
To shoot in secret at the blameless; 1 They will shoot him suddenly, and will not fear. 1
They have set up for themselves an evil matter, 1 They have given counsel to hide snares; 1 They have said, Who shall see them? 1
They have searched out iniquity; 1 They have wearied themselves with searching diligently, 1 A man shall approach and the heart is deep, 1
And God shall be exalted, 1 Their wounds were caused by the weapon of the foolish children, 1
And their tongues have set him at nought, 1 All that saw them were troubled; 1
And every man was alarmed, 1 And they related the works of God, 1 And understood his deeds. 1
The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and hope on him, 1 And all the upright in heart shall be praised.
