Psalms 71
1For Solomon. 1 O God, give thy judgment to the king, 1 And thy righteousness to the king’s son; 1
2That he may judge thy people with righteousness, 1 And thy poor with judgment. 1
3Let the mountains and the hills raise peace to thy people: 1
4He shall judge the poor of the people in righteousness, 1 And save the children of the needy; 1 And shall bring low the false accuser. 1
5And he shall continue as long as the sun, 1 And before the moon forever. 1
6He shall come down as rain upon a fleece; 1 And as drops falling upon the earth. 1
7In his days shall righteousness spring up; 1 And abundance of peace till the moon be removed. 1
8And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, 1 And from the river to the ends of the earth. 1
9The Ethiopians shall fall down before him; 1 And his enemies shall lick the dust. 1
10The kings of Tarshish, and the isles, shall bring presents: 1 The kings of the Arabians and Seba shall offer gifts. 1
11And all kings shall worship him; 1 All the Gentiles shall serve him. 1
12For he has delivered the poor from the oppressor; 1 And the needy who had no helper. 1
13He shall spare the poor and needy, 1 And shall deliver the souls of the needy. 1
14He shall redeem their souls from usury and injustice: 1 And their name shall be precious before him. 1
15And he shall live, and there shall be given him of the gold of Arabia: 1 And men shall pray for him continually; 1 And all the day shall they praise him. 1
16There shall be an establishment on the earth on the tops of the mountains: 1 The fruit thereof shall be exalted above Lebanon, 1 And they of the city shall flourish as grass of the earth. 1
17Let his name be blessed forever: 1 His name shall endure longer than the sun: 1 And all the tribes of the earth shall be blessed in him: 1 All nations shall call him blessed. 1
18Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, who alone does wonders. 1
19And blessed is his glorious name forever, even forever and ever: 1 And all the earth shall be filled with his glory. 1 So be it, so be it.
