Psalms 8

For the end, concerning the winepresses, a Psalm of David. 1

O Lord, our Lord, how wonderful is thy name in all the earth! 1 For thy magnificence is exalted above the heavens. 1

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou perfected praise, 1 Because of thine enemies; 1 That thou mightest put down the enemy and avenger. 1

For I will regard the heavens, the work of thy fingers; 1 The moon and stars, which thou hast established. 1

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? 1 Or the son of man, that thou visitest him? 1

Thou madest him a little less than angels, 1 Thou hast crowned him with glory and honor; 1

And thou hast set him over the works of thy hands: 1 Thou hast put all things under his feet: 1

Sheep and all oxen, 1 Yea, and the cattle of the field; 1

The birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, 1 The creatures passing through the paths of the sea. 1

O Lord our Lord, how wonderful is thy name in all the earth!
