Psalms 83
For the end, a Psalm for the sons of Korah, concerning the winepresses. 1
How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! 1
My soul longs, and faints for the courts of the Lord: 1 My heart and my flesh have exulted in the living God. 1
Yea, the sparrow has found himself a home, 1 And the turtledove a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, 1 Even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, 1 My King, and my God. 1
Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: 1 They will praise thee evermore. Pause. 1
Blessed is the man whose help is of thee, O Lord; 1 In his heart he has purposed to go up 1
The Valley of Weeping, to the place which he has appointed, 1 For there the lawgiver will grant blessings. 1
They shall go from strength to strength: 1 The God of gods shall be seen in Zion. 1
O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: 1 Hearken, O God of Jacob. Pause. 1
Behold, O God our defender, 1 And look upon the face of thine anointed. 1
For one day in thy courts is better than thousands. 1 I would rather be an abject in the house of God, 1 Than dwell in the tents of sinners. 1
For the Lord loves mercy and truth: 1 God will give grace and glory: 1 The Lord will not withhold good things from them that walk in innocence. 1
O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in thee.
