Psalms 90
Praise of a Song, by David. 1 He that dwells in the help of the Highest, 1 Shall sojourn under the shelter of the God of heaven. 1
He shall say to the Lord, Thou art my helper and my refuge: 1 My God; I will hope in him. 1
For he shall deliver thee from the snare of the hunters, 1 From every troublesome matter. 1
He shall overshadow thee with his shoulders, 1 And thou shalt trust under his wings: 1 His truth shall cover thee with a shield. 1
Thou shalt not be afraid of terror by night; 1 Nor of the arrow flying by day; 1
Nor of the evil thing that walks in darkness; 1 Nor of calamity, and the evil spirit at noonday. 1
A thousand shall fall at thy side, 1 And ten thousand at thy right hand; 1 But it shall not come nigh thee. 1
Only with thine eyes shalt thou observe 1 And see the reward of sinners. 1
For thou, O Lord, art my hope: 1 Thou, my soul, hast made the Most High thy refuge. 1
No evils shall come upon thee, 1 And no scourge shall draw nigh to thy dwelling. 1
For he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, 1 To keep thee in all thy ways. 1
They shall bear thee up on their hands, 1 Lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 1
Thou shalt tread on the asp and basilisk: 1 And thou shalt trample on the lion and dragon. 1
For he has hoped in me, and I will deliver him: 1 I will protect him, because he has known my name. 1
He shall call upon me, and I will hearken to him: 1 I am with him in affliction; 1 And I will deliver him, and glorify him. 1
I will satisfy him with length of days, 1 And show him my salvation.
