You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on another. For on whatever grounds you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

The scope of the first two chapters of this epistle may be gathered from ch. iii. 9 , "We have before proved both Jews and Gentiles that they are all under sin."
