26For Cheshbon was the city of Sichon Melech HaEmori, who had fought against the former king of Moav, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.

28For there is a fire gone out of Cheshbon, 1 a flame from the city of Sichon; 1 it hath consumed Ar of Moav, 1 and citizens of the heights of Arnon. 1
