25Ishmael [Pays attention God], his son, was thirteen years old when he circumcised the flesh of his foreskin. + 17:25 Context: In Hebrew it can be read that Ishmael circumcised himself and therefore not Abraham. This calls to debate if Ishmael was circumcised within the covenant that Abraham received from God or if he did so himself in response to what God had told Abraham.
