Luke 5:12+ 5:12 (12-14) MP: Only God can heal leprosy; really this is not Hansen’s disease but a divine-origin disease called tzara'at in Hebrew. Only God can afflict and only God can remove. The next ceremonial uncleanness is that of the leprosy, concerning which the law was very large and particular; we have the discovery of it in this chapter, and the cleansing of the leper in the next.
