62+ 22:62 (62-64) MP: Messiah’s appearance is greatly marred, (consider too Is 50:6, 53:5), while bearing the sins of humanity in himself (Is 53:15a). Scripture does not say how his marring is much more than any other human. Consider that his face may be covered in scars that alter and mar his appearance. Yet consider, Yeshua who endured such a beating before death, was recognized by everyone who saw him after the resurrection. (Luke 24:16, 24:31; 1 Cor 15:5-8). (Is 52:14-15a) He went out, and wept bitterly.

64Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”
