You know, the people that belong to this world, they go against God all the time. Sometimes they do bad things just because it feels good. And sometimes they are greedy, like they want to get lots of things for themselves. And sometimes they talk up big about themselves, so that other people will think they are important. But God our father doesn’t want us to live that way. If anybody loves doing those bad things, it shows that they don’t love God. The people that belong to this world, they love doing those bad things. I’m telling you, don’t live like those people. Don’t love doing those bad things.

Don’t think about doing bad things that belong to this earth. You are joined to Jesus Christ now, and he is joined to God. The people of this world can’t see that yet,
James 4:4If you are like that, it shows that you left God. You stopped following him and joined the other people in the world that hate God. They are God’s enemies. So if you join up with people like that, you make yourself God’s enemy. You ran away from God. You are just like a woman that leaves her husband and runs away with another man.
1 John 4:5Those liars don’t belong to God, they belong to this world. So their messages come from this world, and the other people that belong to this world, they listen to them.
