A seed, such as a wheat seed, is very different from the plant that sprouts from it.

36Anyone who asks such questions is foolish. You know that a seed that is planted in the ground must completely change its form [MET] before it sprouts.

38God gives everything that lives the form that he desires. He gives each seed its own form.
