The angel who spoke to me had a golden measuring rod to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.

And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

In Context

14The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

16The city is laid out as a square; its length is the same as its width. The angel measured the city with the rod and found it to be twelve thousand and twelve stadia. The length, width, and height are all equal.
