For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

I. The apostle expresses concern for the Colossians, ver. 1-3 . II. He repeats it again, ver. 5 . III. He cautions them against false teachers among the Jews ( ver. 4 , 6 , 7 ), and against the Gentile philosophy, ver. 8-12 . IV. He represents the privileges of Christians, ver. 13-15 . And, V.
