23Comme il refusait de s’éloigner, Abner le frappa du revers de sa lance, qui l’atteignit dans l’aine et ressortit par derrière; il tomba et mourut sur place. Et tous ceux qui arrivaient à l’endroit où Assahel était tombé mort s’y arrêtaient.

25Les Benjamites se groupèrent autour d’Abner, formant ainsi un seul faisceau, et ils s’arrêtèrent au sommet d’une colline.
