וַיִּרְאוּ בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן כִּי הִֽתְבָּאֲשׁוּ עִם ־ דָּוִיד וַיִּשְׁלַח חָנוּן וּבְנֵי עַמּוֹן אֶלֶף כִּכַּר ־ כֶּסֶף לִשְׂכֹּר לָהֶם מִן ־ אֲרַם נַהֲרַיִם וּמִן ־ אֲרַם מַעֲכָה וּמִצּוֹבָה רֶכֶב וּפָרָשִֽׁים ׃
