וְהִנֵּה עִמְּךָ שִֽׁמְעִי בֶן ־ גֵּרָא בֶן ־ הַיְמִינִי מִבַּחֻרִים וְהוּא קִֽלְלַנִי קְלָלָה נִמְרֶצֶת בְּיוֹם לֶכְתִּי מַחֲנָיִם וְהֽוּא ־ יָרַד לִקְרָאתִי הַיַּרְדֵּן וָאֶשָּׁבַֽע לוֹ בַֽיהוָה לֵאמֹר אִם ־ אֲמִֽיתְךָ בֶּחָֽרֶב ׃
