וַֽיַּעֲמֹד וַיִּקְרָא אֶל ־ מַעַרְכֹת יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶם לָמָּה תֵצְאוּ לַעֲרֹךְ מִלְחָמָה הֲלוֹא אָנֹכִי הַפְּלִשְׁתִּי וְאַתֶּם עֲבָדִים לְשָׁאוּל בְּרוּ ־ לָכֶם אִישׁ וְיֵרֵד אֵלָֽי ׃
