וַיֹּאמֶר שָׁאוּל כֹּֽה ־ תֹאמְרוּ לְדָוִד אֵֽין ־ חֵפֶץ לַמֶּלֶךְ בְּמֹהַר כִּי בְּמֵאָה עָרְלוֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּים לְהִנָּקֵם בְּאֹיְבֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְשָׁאוּל חָשַׁב לְהַפִּיל אֶת ־ דָּוִד בְּיַד ־ פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים ׃
