וַיִּקַּח שָׁאוּל שְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים אִישׁ בָּחוּר מִכָּל ־ יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֵּלֶךְ לְבַקֵּשׁ אֶת ־ דָּוִד וַֽאֲנָשָׁיו עַל ־ פְּנֵי צוּרֵי הַיְּעֵלִֽים ׃
