וַיִּוָּעַץ הַמֶּלֶךְ רְחַבְעָם אֶת ־ הַזְּקֵנִים אֲשֶׁר ־ הָיוּ עֹֽמְדִים לִפְנֵי שְׁלֹמֹה אָבִיו בִּֽהְיֹתוֹ חַי לֵאמֹר אֵיךְ אַתֶּם נֽוֹעָצִים לְהָשִׁיב לָֽעָם ־ הַזֶּה דָּבָֽר ׃
