וַאֲחִיתֹפֶל רָאָה כִּי לֹא נֶעֶשְׂתָה עֲצָתוֹ וַיַּחֲבֹשׁ אֶֽת ־ הַחֲמוֹר וַיָּקָם וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶל ־ בֵּיתוֹ אֶל ־ עִירוֹ וַיְצַו אֶל ־ בֵּיתוֹ וַיֵּחָנַק וַיָּמָת וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּקֶבֶר אָבִֽיו ׃ ס
