וַיִּתֵּן יוֹאָב אֶת ־ מִסְפַּר מִפְקַד ־ הָעָם אֶל ־ הַמֶּלֶךְ וַתְּהִי יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת אֶלֶף אִֽישׁ ־ חַיִל שֹׁלֵֽף חֶרֶב וְאִישׁ יְהוּדָה חֲמֵשׁ ־ מֵאוֹת אֶלֶף אִֽישׁ ׃
