וַיְהִי אֹמֵן אֶת ־ הֲדַסָּה הִיא אֶסְתֵּר בַּת ־ דֹּדוֹ כִּי אֵין לָהּ אָב וָאֵם וְהַנַּעֲרָה יְפַת ־ תֹּאַר וְטוֹבַת מַרְאֶה וּבְמוֹת אָבִיהָ וְאִמָּהּ לְקָחָהּ מָרְדֳּכַי לוֹ לְבַֽת ׃
