וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר הַמַּלְכָּה בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה הָרְגוּ הַיְּהוּדִים וְאַבֵּד חֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת אִישׁ וְאֵת עֲשֶׂרֶת בְּנֵֽי ־ הָמָן בִּשְׁאָר מְדִינוֹת הַמֶּלֶךְ מֶה עָשׂוּ וּמַה ־ שְּׁאֵֽלָתֵךְ וְיִנָּתֵֽן לָךְ וּמַה ־ בַּקָּשָׁתֵךְ עוֹד וְתֵעָֽשׂ ׃
