וַיְמָרְרוּ אֶת ־ חַיֵּיהֶם בַּעֲבֹדָה קָשָׁה בְּחֹמֶר וּבִלְבֵנִים וּבְכָל ־ עֲבֹדָה בַּשָּׂדֶה אֵת כָּל ־ עֲבֹדָתָם אֲשֶׁר ־ עָבְדוּ בָהֶם בְּפָֽרֶךְ ׃
