וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם ׀ רְאוּבֵן אַל ־ תִּשְׁפְּכוּ ־ דָם הַשְׁלִיכוּ אֹתוֹ אֶל ־ הַבּוֹר הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר בַּמִּדְבָּר וְיָד אַל ־ תִּשְׁלְחוּ ־ בוֹ לְמַעַן הַצִּיל אֹתוֹ מִיָּדָם לַהֲשִׁיבוֹ אֶל ־ אָבִֽיו ׃
