וַיִּרְאוּ אֶחָיו כִּֽי ־ אֹתוֹ אָהַב אֲבִיהֶם מִכָּל ־ אֶחָיו וַֽיִּשְׂנְאוּ אֹתוֹ וְלֹא יָכְלוּ דַּבְּרוֹ לְשָׁלֹֽם ׃
