וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוּדָה לְתָמָר כַּלָּתוֹ שְׁבִי אַלְמָנָה בֵית ־ אָבִיךְ עַד ־ יִגְדַּל שֵׁלָה בְנִי כִּי אָמַר פֶּן ־ יָמוּת גַּם ־ הוּא כְּאֶחָיו וַתֵּלֶךְ תָּמָר וַתֵּשֶׁב בֵּית אָבִֽיהָ ׃
