וַיֹּאמֶר הִנֵּה שָׁמַעְתִּי כִּי יֶשׁ ־ שֶׁבֶר בְּמִצְרָיִם רְדוּ ־ שָׁמָּה וְשִׁבְרוּ ־ לָנוּ מִשָּׁם וְנִחְיֶה וְלֹא נָמֽוּת ׃
