וַאֲמַרְתֶּם אַנְשֵׁי מִקְנֶה הָיוּ עֲבָדֶיךָ מִנְּעוּרֵינוּ וְעַד ־ עַתָּה גַּם ־ אֲנַחְנוּ גַּם ־ אֲבֹתֵינוּ בַּעֲבוּר תֵּשְׁבוּ בְּאֶרֶץ גֹּשֶׁן כִּֽי ־ תוֹעֲבַת מִצְרַיִם כָּל ־ רֹעֵה צֹֽאן ׃
