וְלֹא ־ יָשִׁיב אֶל ־ לִבּוֹ וְלֹא דַעַת וְלֹֽא ־ תְבוּנָה לֵאמֹר חֶצְיוֹ שָׂרַפְתִּי בְמוֹ ־ אֵשׁ וְאַף אָפִיתִי עַל ־ גֶּחָלָיו לֶחֶם אֶצְלֶה בָשָׂר וְאֹכֵל וְיִתְרוֹ לְתוֹעֵבָה אֶעֱשֶׂה לְבוּל עֵץ אֶסְגּֽוֹד ׃
