וָאֹמַר עַד ־ מָתַי אֲדֹנָי וַיֹּאמֶר עַד אֲשֶׁר אִם ־ שָׁאוּ עָרִים מֵאֵין יוֹשֵׁב וּבָתִּים מֵאֵין אָדָם וְהָאֲדָמָה תִּשָּׁאֶה שְׁמָמָֽה ׃
