וַתִּבָּקַע הָעִיר וְכָל ־ אַנְשֵׁי הַמִּלְחָמָה יִבְרְחוּ וַיֵּצְאוּ מֵהָעִיר לַיְלָה דֶּרֶךְ שַׁעַר בֵּין ־ הַחֹמֹתַיִם אֲשֶׁר עַל ־ גַּן הַמֶּלֶךְ וְכַשְׂדִּים עַל ־ הָעִיר סָבִיב וַיֵּלְכוּ דֶּרֶךְ הָעֲרָבָֽה ׃
