וַיְהִי הַגּוֹרָל לְמַטֵּה מְנַשֶּׁה כִּי ־ הוּא בְּכוֹר יוֹסֵף לְמָכִיר בְּכוֹר מְנַשֶּׁה אֲבִי הַגִּלְעָד כִּי הוּא הָיָה אִישׁ מִלְחָמָה וַֽיְהִי ־ לוֹ הַגִּלְעָד וְהַבָּשָֽׁן ׃
